Yabda Hubs– one in each Partner University, except UCA – are centres for technology entrepreneurship development, joint ventures for the development of early-stage startups in green technologies, energy and natural sciences, ICT and engineering. They focus on green technologies, energy and sustainable development, in line with the national developmental priorities. Yabda Hubs provide the space and resources for creating a stimulating environment for aspiring start-ups. Although they were developed with the support of the relevant departments, with the support of both their faculty staff, researchers and PhD students, they are open to all departments, encouraging a multidisciplinary approach. Their operation is supervised and supported by the Yabda Entrepreneurship Centres. The Entrepreneurship Centres foster a feeling of ownership among PhD students and faculty members, i.e. users of the Hubs.
